Knee tendon repair
A repair to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee is necessary when it ruptures due to an injury. The commonest repair method is to use a tendon or tendons from elsewhere in your body to replace it. The operation is carried out with small cuts made around the knee or with an arthroscope (a flexible telescope that allows the surgeon to see the inside of the knee magnified on a screen).
