Meptid (meptazinol) tablets

Meptid tablets and injections belong to a group of medicines known as opioid analgesics, which are related to morphine. Meptid is used to relieve moderate, short-term pain: from pain during childbirth, post-surgical pain and pain due to kidney stones.

Meptid copies the action of natural endorphins by combining with the opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord, which blocks transmission of pain signals sent by the nerves to the brain.

Meptid is very likely to make you feel sick and / or dizzy, unless combined with medicine to stop nausea.
