Clopidogrel
Clopidogrel is an anti-platelet medicine which reduces the risk of clots forming in the blood, helping to reduce the chances of stroke or myocardial infarction (heart attack). Platelets are cells that normally circulate in the blood stream. When damage occurs to an area of a blood vessel, it produces a chemical that attracts platelets and makes them stick together to form a blood clot to block the damaged area. Clopidogrel reduces platelet activity.
