The Spire Murrayfield Hospital in Wirral has 65 beds, three major operating theatres, and one minor operating theatre. Two of the major theatres have laminar flow - this is a special clean air system which reduces the risk of infection during operations. It's particularly useful during orthopaedic procedures, specifically joint replacement. Although the hospital does not perform surgery on children who are younger than three, it is able to operate on youngsters between three and 12.

There are always at least two Paediatric Advanced Life Support trained staff on duty at any one time, meaning there is cover in the event of an emergency. Surgical services for breast and bowel cancer are available, and both units are BUPA-approved. The hospital is also able to offer chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer. Physiotherapy services are available, and there is a gymnasium on site. The hospital can offer specialist sports injury treatment.
