The Chichester Nuffield Hospital in West Sussex provides a range of medical, surgical and diagnostic services. It has 39 beds and three operating theatres - one major theatre with laminar flow, one without, and one minor theatre. Diagnostic procedures available at the hospital include CT and MRI scans, x-ray and ultrasound. Although the hospital has a surgical service for breast cancer, it does not perform mammography which is used to diagnose the condition. The breast care unit at the hospital is BUPA-approved, and the hospital also provides a surgical service for bowel cancer. The hospital does not operate on children, but does offer outpatient services for young patients. The hospital has one critical care bed, and there are always at least two members of staff on duty with current Advanced Life Support training on site. This means there is always cover in the event of an emergency.
