Nuffield Hospital Cambridge is a reasonably large private hospital. It has 54 beds. Three are critical care beds to provide care for patients who are more seriously ill. There are always at least two members of staff on duty with Advanced Life Support training, meaning that help can be easily sought in the event of an emergency. The hospital is able to perform surgery for breast and bowel cancer, and the units for both of these conditions are BUPA-approved.

Chemotherapy is also available to treat the disease, and palliative care for patients with a terminal illness. The hospital does not perform surgery on children under the age of three, but is able to operate on children between the ages of three and 12. There are always at least two members of staff on duty with Paediatric Advanced Life Support training. Physiotherapy services are available at the hospital, along with special treatment for sports injury.
