Benenden Hospital provides high quality surgical and medical care for members of the Benenden Healthcare Society, private patients and patients referred to us by the National Health Service. It is also available as a selected independent provider within the NHS Choice programme. The Hospital is able to offer a wide range of specialties, however it also provides treatment in the following more specialist areas: Children's services 6mths - 16 years in general surgery and ENT. Adult services in general surgery, urology, gynaecology, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, general medicine, gastroenterology, cardiology, dermatology, neurology. Sleep Studies - a dedicated room with en suite facilities on our inpatient ward. Continence Care - Tailoring a self-help programme to your individual needs. (Private patients can receive this service with a suitable referral from their doctor).
The Hospital has strong educational links for nursing with Christchurch Canterbury, Brighton and Greenwich. It also is recognised by the Royal College of Gynaecologists as a training centre for gynaecology, especially pelvic floor surgery and gynaecological laparoscopic surgery. Investment in management training has helped the Hospital once again retain its Investors in People status.
