BMI The Chaucer Hospital has 60 beds of which four are for critical care. There is one minor operating theatre and two major operating theatres. Diagnostic services include mammography, ultrasound, x-ray and MRI scans which are superior to x-rays when imaging soft tissue in the body. Cardiac rehabilitation and exercise ECG are available. Both the breast cancer unit and bowel cancer unit are BUPA approved and surgical services are available for both of these.

The hospital also provides chemotherapy for treatment of the disease and for those patients for whom disease is terminal palliative care is available. Paediatric surgery is available for children aged from 3 years.  There will also always be at least one member of staff available with Paediatric Advanced Life Support training. Acupuncture, aromatherapy and homeopathy are all also available.
