The BMI Beaumont Hospital in Bolton has 34 beds, and consultants working in 43 specialties. There is one critical care bed, and there are always at least two members of staff with Current Advanced Life Support training on duty to help in the event of an emergency. The range of diagnostic services includes, CT scans, MRI scans, mammography, plain x-ray, ultrasound and bone densitometry. The last is especially useful for identifying problems like osteoporosis.

The hospital is able to perform for both breast and bowel cancer, and both units are BUPA-approved. The hospital also has chemotherapy services to treat the disease. Although the hospital does not operate on children under the age of three, it can undertake surgical procedures on children between the ages of three and twelve.
