There are 76 registered beds, and five operating theatres, of which two are minor, and three are major. One major theatre has access to laminar flow. This is a clean air system, which reduces the risk of infection during operations. Two members of staff are available at any one time with current Advanced Life Support training. Two members of staff on duty at any one time are also required to have Paediatric Advanced Life Support training. Surgery services are also available for children aged between three and twelve years old. Surgical services for both breast and bowel cancers are available from the hospital, and both are BUPA-approved. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are available to treat the disease, and palliative care services are also available for patients whose illness is terminal. The hospital offers a range of physiotherapy services, including specialist treatment for sports injuries. There is a gymnasium on site to help with treatment and hydrotherapy is also available.
