Address & description

Saint Mary's Hospital was founded in 1790 and, over the years, has successfully developed a wide range of world class medical services for women, babies and children as well as a comprehensive Genetics Centre and an internationally recognised teaching and research portfolio.
Our leading edge services are tailored both to meet the needs of the local population in Central Manchester and patients with complex medical conditions referred from other areas in the Greater Manchester conurbation, the North West and beyond.
Saint Mary's Hospital has now completed their move into the brand new Saint Mary's Hospital! The new building is located behind the existing Saint Mary's tower block and houses state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. Access is from Hathersage Road.
Please note that Reproductive Medicine (IVF) and the Andrology Unit are located in the existing Saint Mary's and can be accessed via the York Place (Gate 3) entrance on Oxford Road. Access cannot be gained via the new Saint Mary's building.
More than 1,000 staff, including doctors, nurses, midwives, scientists, clinical and non clinical support staff work in Saint Mary's and provide the highest standards of care in the following areas:

This standard reflects the combined performance of the ambulance service, general practitioners (GPs) and hospitals and is the most relevant overall indicator of care of heart attack patients.
