Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist heart and lung services to the people of Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, North Wales and the Isle of Man and serves an adult population of over 2.8 million.
The Trust is one of the largest and busiest cardiothoracic hospitals in the country and has consistently won claim for its high standards of patient care and dignity. For the 5th year in succession it has been rated the best performing hospital in the country for 'overall patient care'. Our hospital at a glance:
- A £46 million major site development has recently been completed which has improved facilities and the environment for its patients and staff.
- The Trust has the largest Critical Care Unit in the U.K. with over 40 beds.
