Address & description

Welcome to Kingston Hospital, the best district hospital in London*, supporting 320,000 people in the surrounding area including the boroughs of Kingston, Richmond, Elmbridge and Wandsworth (Roehampton and Putney).
We provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services and have a national reputation for innovative developments in healthcare, particularly in 'patient-focused' care, maternity services, and day surgery.
In the summer of 2007, the Kingston Surgical Centre opened. The five storey building provides modern facilities for our patients and staff in a spacious, comfortable and clean environment. The centre houses surgical and gynaecological wards, the physiotherapy department as well as our Education Centre and restaurant facilities, the Dining Room, for patients, visitors and staff.
In June 2008, the Sir William Rous Unit, opened to patients. Kingston Hospital works in partnership with The Royal Marsden and Macmillan Cancer Support to give local patients with cancer the best clinical services, as well as high quality information and support, in a first-class facility. The Sir William Rous Unit is one of the first in the country to be awarded the new Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) Award for offering high standards of care to people affected by cancer.
The hospital is currently working on an application to become an NHS Foundation Trust so that we can invest in, and develop, our services to provide our local population with the best care, treatment and facilities. In 2010 Kingston Hospital was named as one of the best performing Trusts consuecutively for ten years in the CHKS Top Hospital Awards.
