Downe Hospital provides acute hospital services for a scattered local population of approximately 60,000. A new £60m hospital build is nearing completion, due to open for business in June 2009.
There are 49 medical, 10 coronary care, 5 Emergency observation beds, and a Day Procedure Unit., with diagnostic, endoscopy & Out Patient services. Excellent networks have been developed with regional centres to offer a full range of comprehensive services to the local district.
