As part of a £24m modernisation programme at East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust, the Kent & Canterbury (K&C) Hospital has seen the construction of a new Day Surgery Centre (for operations that do not require an overnight stay), a new endoscopy suite, the modernisation of pharmacy services with the inclusion of a state-of-the-art robotic dispensary and a new, centralised aseptic suite (sterilised area for preparation of oncology drugs) built to serve all of East Kent Hospitals Trust.
