Professional profile
As a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Surgeon in General Surgery, I was appointed with a special interest in hollow organ gastroenterology and oncology. As a Professor of Surgery, I am solely responsible for the management of a wide variety of both benign and malignant conditions of the oesophagus and stomach and currently share the colorectal practice with Mr O Ogunbiyi and Mr R Novell. I have developed a considerable "minimally invasive" and upper/lower GI endoscopic practice. I also have a major clinical commitment to the surgical management of HIV disease, surgical oncology and vascular access.
