Professional profile
I was appointed as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in 2003 at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. I am is currently the Lead Clinician for Cardiff Breast Services.
My area of special interest is all aspects of Breast Diseases including oncoplastic breast surgery, sentinel node biopsy, breast reconstruction, breast reduction, fat transfer and liposuction.
I am committed in providing the highest level of care in breast diseases and I treat over 100 breast cancers every year. I also takes part in the Breast Cancer Screening programme of Wales. I keep abreast with the latest technological developments and takes part in major international trials in breast cancer.
I am also a tutor on the New Start Programme, the Department of Health national training programme for sentinel node biopsy and hold an honorary lecturer in Cardiff Medical School and teach students, nurses and young surgeons.
