Professional profile
I trained in ENT surgery in London and Liverpool. As a Senior Registrar I trained in paediatric ENT surgery at Alder Hey Hospital, was a Lecturer in Head and Neck Surgery and Rhinology at The Royal Liverpool Hospital and trained in middle ear surgery at the world reknowned KKR Institute in Madras, India.
With over twenty publications to my name, I am the co-author of Key Topics in ENT a book for surgeons taking their specialist examination in ENT surgery now in its second edition and I am a bibliographic reviewer for the bimonthly journal Current Opinion in Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery. I was responsible for writing the guidelines for the treatment of advanced laryngeal cancer for The British Association of Otolaryngologists/ Head and Neck Surgeons in 2000.
I am part of the faculty for the Cambridge Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Course which teaches Registrars and Consultants endoscopic sinus surgery and I am the lead clinician for Head and Neck Surgery in Colchester.
