Current Lead Clinician for the Breast Unit at Bart's Hospital. Associate Director for Cancer Services at Barts and The London NHS Trust and Chairman of the North East London Cancer Network Breast Cancer Tumour Board.
Clinical work involves continued evaluation of one stop diagnosis for breast diseases and multidisciplinary team diagnosis and treatment planning for breast cancer. All women who need a mastectomy are offered immediate breast reconstruction at Barts. The Unit has evaluated Sentinel Node Biopsy and is now using this technique in suitable women with breast cancer.
Principal Endocrine Surgeon for Barts and the London NHS Trust. In addition to Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery, Adrenal surgery is regularly undertaken using a minimally invasive approach pioneered at Barts.
