Personal profile

Patrick Walker is consultant gyanecologist and lead clinician for gynaecological cancer services and colposcopy at the Royal Free Hospital, London. He is a past president of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and the current President of the International Federation for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy.
His research interests have been in the field of cervical cancer and gynaecological malignancies. He wrote his postgraduate thesis in 1985 on the relationship between HPV and cervical cancer.
He has been a member of the Performance Assessment Implementation Group of the General Medical Council and has been Team Leader for professional performance assessments for the GMC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 1998.
Married with two daughters his ineterests are history, politics, current affiars and sport.
