Professional profile
Kevin Turner was appointed as Consultant Urological Surgeon in Bournemouth on May 1st 2007. He qualified from Oxford in 1993 and trained in Urology in Oxford, Edinburgh, and Melbourne.
His main clinical interests are in urological cancer, prostate disease, laparoscopic surgery, and general urology. His research thesis in to renal cancer was awarded the European Association of Urology Thesis Award in 2002. In 2004 he was elected an Hunterian Professor of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Summary of recent publications
Kevin Turner has published widely throughout his career. As well as a number of original research papers, he has co-authored a major textbook of urological surgery (The Oxford Handbook of Urological Surgery). He has contributed book chapters to other textbooks (Andrology for the clinician, Laser and heat therapy in benign prostatic hyperplasia). His research thesis was awarded the European Association of Urology Thesis Award in 2002.
