Professional profile

I was appointed consult to Basildon Hospital in 1996. I have an interest in Knee surgery from the latest techniques for cartilage grafting for early arthritis and ACL repair to meniscal repair and partial and total knee replacement. I invented the jigs for putting in the AGC total knee replacements and now am at the forefront of knee replacement surgery using individually computer made patient specific total knee replacements. I also specialise in foot surgery, having been trained in France in the latest techniques in bunion and forefoot surgery. I specialise in keyhole arthroscopic surgery of the hip, knee and ankle. I perform ceramic hip replacements, partial and total knee replacements as well as ankle joint and big toe replacements. I reconstruct ankles knees and shoulders and have a particular interest in rotator cuff injuries. I have a keen interest in sports injuries. I work closely with my own team of physiotherapists who practice in a purpose built rehabilitation and sports injury clinic. My mantra is, exact diagnosis followed by conservative surgery if necessary followed by expert rehabilitation.
