Teaching Experience - Honorary lecturer with Liverpool University and had their medical students attached to my firm. Was also actively involved in teaching whist at Nottingham, Oxford and India.

Other Interests - I have no qualifications in Information Technology but write software programmes in Access and Visual Basic. I also play Lawn Tennis, Squash and Badminton.


Career Goal - I wish to practise as a General Orthopaedic / Trauma surgeon with special interest in Spinal and Joint Replacement Surgery. My research interests are low back pain, Hip and Knee arthritis.

2. Epidemiological survey of Spinal Pain in Nursing and other health professionals at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital Local REC approval No 06/Q1501/182
3. Randomised control trail of single isometric exercise Vs Guidance provided by NASS for Chronic Low Back Pain - COREC approval being sought
4. Randomised control trial of interspinous distraction device Vs Epidural for Degenerative Spinal Canal Stenosis in elderly pattients - COREC approval being sought
5. Randomised control trial of SI joint injection with Steorid and Local Anaesthetic Vs Placebo for SI joint dysfunction COREC approval being sought.
