Professional profile
Current work is general A&E medicine in a department seeing 60 000 new attendants with minimal reviews ( less than 1200 ) per annum. No observation ward. Like my two colleagues I aim to do as much clinical work ' on the shop floor' as reasonably possible. 1 in 3 on call. We have greatly improved the service despite a relatively low staff level by being available and by having more senior input to the clinical work of the department.
