Professional profile
I am the lead clinician for Gynaecological Oncology in the Somerset Cancer Centre based in Musgrove Park Hospital. Following my Consultant training I achieved Sub Specialty Accreditation in Gynaecological Oncology during a 3 year fellowship in St Bartholemews and The Royal Marsden Hospitals in London. My main area of interest is Advanced Laparoscopic / Minimal Access Surgery in appropriate Gynaecological Oncology cases including Laparoscopic Radical Hysterectomy. I also carry out complex benign surgical procedures. I run a consultant lead and delivered service which is foward thinking and innovative. We have a surgical enhanced recovery programme which has been universally well received by our patient experience groups. Our service works closely with allied surgical and medical teams to provide a comprehensive system of care for our patients. My aim is to provide the same high level of care as that which I was a party to during my fellowship training in London.
