Professional profile
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle surgeon with a specialist interest in complex trauma and limb reconstruction.
My higher surgical training was undertaken on the North East Thames (Percivall Pott) Rotation. Having been thoroughly trained in general orthopaedics, I specialised in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery. This fellowship training was undertaken in Stanmore, Baltimore, Seattle and Toronto.
I was awarded the prestigious British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society travelling fellowship, which took me to Baltimore, USA, where I gained invaluable experience working with world renowned surgeon Dr Mark Myerson.
As a teaching hospital Consultant, I regularly teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students. I am also heavily involved in research at St George's hospital, with current projects examining ankle fractures, ankle arthritis, big toe arthritis and minimally invasive Achilles tendon repair. I have over 20 peer reviewed publications and review articles for the JBJS(Br).
As my practice concentrates only on foot and ankle surgery, I am able to provide up to date and modern specialist advice, including offering a second opinion. I use the latest surgical techniques, and call upon my international experience to benefit my patients.
