Professional profile

I trained at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, qualifying in 1990. My training was based in and around London and my five year Specialist Registrar programme was in the North East Thames region. I spent six months in Lyon, France gaining experience in minimal access and vaginal surgery. I completed my training at Colchester General Hospital and obtained my consultant post there in 2002. I am a general obstetrician and gynaecologist. I am the lead colposcopist at Colchester General Hospital and the Quality Assurance Colposcopist for the Eastern Region. My other special interests in gynaecology are vulval disorders and minimal access surgery.
