Dr PE Williams qualified in Medicine in 1979 at Oxford University and Clinical Medical School, trained in General and Thoracic Medicine at Birmingham and Cardiff, clinical and laboratory research at Edinburgh and Washington DC and clinical and laboratory Immunology at Birmingham. He has been Consultant Clinical Immunologist in Cardiff since 1995 and directs both the Clinical and Laboratory Immunology Service and the Clinical and Laboratory Allergy Service.
