Qualified in Medicine at University of Aarhus, Denmark in January 1973. Initially Consultant Cardiologist at Aarhus University Hospital, DK. In 1996 Visiting Professor, St George's Hospital, London. I joined The Hammersmith Hospital Trust in 1997 as an Hon Consultant Cardiologist (Senior Fellow at Imperial College) and from April 2004 as a Consultant Cardiologist (hon Senior Lecturer).
I perform all forms of coronary artery revascularizations including Stents, Atherectomy, and Rotablation as well as intracoronary ultrasonography.
I treat severe coronary artery disease with enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP). My areas of interest include valvular heart disease, heart failure, women with heart disease and diabetics with heart disease.
I have done 191 coronary angioplasties and stenting from 1st Jan to 15th Nov, 2005. All cath lab complications are audited at monthly Mortality & Morbidity meetings.
