Professional profile
Dr Jack qualified at Cambridge in 1988. He worked in London, Wessex and Nottingham, before taking up specialist training in haematology at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. He was made a Leukaemia Research Fund Clinical Fellow in 1996-7, with a research interest in Hodgkin's disease.
In 1999 he took up an NHS consultant post at N. Tyneside General Hospital, continuing research as an honorary lecturer at the University of Newcastle.
In 2001 he moved to Poole Hospital, with interests in general and malignant haematology including stem cell transplantation, thrombosis, anticoagulation and haemoglobinopathies.
